An Indigo Stitch-Resist Scarf to Make

This beautiful scarf project is a good introduction to stitch-resist dyeing, the Malian way. The directions show how to make a scarf with the pattern as shown, but of course you can pleat, fold, and stitch your scarf in other configurations and see the indigo magic appear! The recommended Jacquard indigo is easy to use, since it is pre-reduced. Interestingly, this product isn’t plant-based, but has the identical chemical composition as plant indigo. Have fun!
